Three men were arrested by counter-terrorism officers in dawn raids this morning as part of a long term investigation into the Tamil Tigers. Two men, aged 39 and 46, were arrested at 6.30am at separate addresses in Newtown, Powys, and a third, aged 33, was held in Mitcham, south west London. The Tamil Tigers are a banned organisation in this country.
