Zimbabwe’s President Robert Mugabe was set to be sworn in today for a sixth term after claiming a landslide victory in a presidential runoff poll that independent observers unanimously condemned as fraudulent. Even before the results from Friday’s poll had been formally issued, Ministry of Information officials told reporters that Mr Mugabe would be sworn in as president at the presidential residence at 3 pm (1300 GMT).
